DEF LEPPARD's JOE ELLIOTT Says Third DOWN 'N' OUTZ Album Due In OCTOBER

Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott was interviewed yesterday in New York and mentioned the new Down 'n' Outz album release.

Joe spoke to for the Debatable show on SiriusXM radio.

He was in New York for Ian Hunter's 80th birthday celebrations and also appeared on stage with Billy Joel.

Joe talked about New York/Media Appearances, guesting with Billy Idol at Madison Square Garden, Sin City Residency In Las Vegas, 2013 VIVIA! Hysteria/Setlists/Ded Flatbird, Las Vegas Setlist, Rolling Stones/Setlists, playing new songs live, Time Off In Las Vegas/Family time, Writing New Songs In Las Vegas, Collection Volume 2 Box Set/The 90s Era/Slang/Euphoria, Career Difficulties/90s Albums, life issues, Playing Stadiums In 2018, Keith Urban/Country Artists, Taylor Swift, Rock And Roll Hall of Fame Rick Allen Moment and the release of the third Down 'n' Outz album.

Joe says the third Down 'n' Outz album which features 99% all original material written by Joe in 2013/2014 will be released this October.

Joe said the 12th but this is actually a Saturday so perhaps he meant the 11th.

The album has been talked about for many years starting as far back as April 2014 when their second album 'The Further Adventures Of...' was released.

He explained at the time he wrote many of the songs in late 2013 at home on his piano. Possibly the one shown in the 'Miss You In A Heartbeat' video at his home in Dublin.

Last month marked 5 years since the release of that second album and it's first single 'Rock And Roll Queen'.

This new album is set to feature just one cover version of a 70s classic not by Ian Hunter or Mott The Hoople.

A UK tour seems highly likely for late 2019 once Joe is finished with Def Leppard who so far have one show in October. On the same day Joe mentioned.

The last Down 'n' Outz tour took place in December 2014 much like the last three Def Leppard UK tours. Sadly that tour also saw the start of Joe's vocal problems after a heavy cold which got worse through 2015 and into 2016 almost resulting in permanent damage.

The last release by the band was The Further Live Adventures Of... CD/DVD ad Blu-ray in December 2017. A world wide release after being issued only in Japan in late 2016.
