Afternoons With Dan Reed - Rick Allen Interview Quotes - (Transcribed by dltourhistory)

Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction

"We got in?!. I don't have much Internet connection where I live. No, I'm really proud and I think the thing that makes it really special for all, the whole band, is the fact that they introduced the Fan Vote and, you know, I think the amount of people that came out and voted for us, it's just testimony to this band and how popular we are and people really love us."

"I mean we're just really proud of the fact that we got in and very excited to move forward with it"

"Yeah I think being recognised by our peers. It definitely validate, you know, all the hard work that we've put up, or put in. All the ups and downs that this band has been through. It just gives us a sense of 'Wow, you know, people are paying attention'. So it is, it's very special."

Legends Paintings/Steve Clark/David Bowie

"You know the Legends part of everything is actually really cool. I just finished a really cool David Bowie painting. And that kind of goes along with, you know, I started out with Steve Clark which was kind of an obvious one him being, you know, my best friend ans such an inspiration. And then I moved on to John Lennon and then Jimi Hendrix. And now David Bowie is the latest in the Legends series. So that's kind of, I'm really proud of just being able to do that and just show people my appreciation for the people that inspired me growing up."

Band Enthusiasm

"It's the same today you know sometimes I sit up there and look out at the crowd and I'm like I can't believe I'm still doing this. This is so cool. So it's a gift you know."

Def Leppard 2019 Touring?/Lauren Monroe Music

"I think so but I'm not sure I'm allowed to say anything just yet."

"I'm buy with other thing at the moment. I'm actually working with Steve Ferrone at the moment. And the famous Jim Scott. He worked on a lot of the Tom Petty records. I'm actually up in Santa Clarita at the moment working on a project with a girl called Lauren Monroe and it's really exciting. I'm really excited about, you know, just working with these incredible people. You know people that inspired me growing up."
