DEF LEPPARD 2019 News Recap Part 6 (June)

Welcome to recap of all things Def Leppard in the year 2019 continuing with the month of June.
Another year (and decade) for the band is about to end and these updates look back at the major events that took place over the last 12 months.
Featuring links to past news stories.
A month in which the band started their 2019 world tour at the Sweden Rock festival. The start of 15 shows across Europe and the UK.
The tour also included a third headline show at the Download Festival at Donington Park.
The Collection Volume 2 box set was released covering the four 1990s era albums plus three discs of B-Sides and extras.
Vivian looked forward to the band hopefully releasing some new music in 2020.
An appearance at the iHeart Radio Music festival was announced for September.
Joe made a second guest appearance on stage with Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden in New York just ahead of the Def Leppard tour starting. He also performed at Ian Hunter's 80th birthday show in the same city.
Joe also revealed that the third Down 'n' Outz album would be coming out in October.
Other major anniversaries also took place including the start of the 'Arenalize', 'Slang' and both 'Rock Of Ages' tours (2005/2012).

Def Leppard played the 2019 Download Festival on 14th June and highlights will be broadcast in the UK on 6th/7th July.
Confirmation and details of the Download Festival highlights shows on SKY Arts were published on UK TV menus. Two 2 hour 45 minute special will be broadcast by the channel on 6th and 7th July with footage from Def Leppard's set to feature as well as interviews.

VIVIAN CAMPBELL Hopes DEF LEPPARD Release New Music In 2020
Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell was recently interviewed in Finland and mentioned the next studio album.
Vivian spoke to KaaosTV in Finland and mentioned new Def Leppard songs. Although he doesn't think a full album will be finished in 2020 he hopes for at least two or three new songs will be released. He also said Last In Line will start work on album number three this summer.

Def Leppard were honoured as Sheffield Legends in front of the town hall in their home city on this day in 2006 and footage is available.
13 years since the band were honoured in Sheffield as being 'Sheffield Legends'. A plaque was unveiled on the pavement in front of the Town Hall the day before a show at Sheffield Arena on the YEAH! tour.
