On This Day in Def Leppard History - 22nd April, the following concerts and events took place. Including the UK release of the single 'Slang' 23 years ago on this day in 1996.

The first single taken from the album of the same name which reached Number 17 the UK Top 40 singles chart.

Also on this day in 1988 Steve Clark played his last live show in the UK during the Hysteria tour.

The show in Belfast, Northern Ireland was his last live performance with the band in the UK coming six months before his last ever full live show with Def Leppard in Tacoma, WA. This show was initially announced for the 21st April but pushed to the 22nd when extra English shows were added. Printed tickets with the 21st on were still honoured.

All 1989 Awards shows/TV appearances featured 'playback' music.

On this day in 2017 the new version of The Def Leppard E.P. was released as a 12 inch vinyl for Record Store Day 2017 in various countries around the world.
