DEF LEPPARD x JOURNEY Tour In ALBUQUERQUE, NM (Show Report)

Def Leppard played another show with Journey on the 2018 North American tour last night in Albuquerque, NM with 16 songs performed.

The show took place at the 14.650 capacity Isleta Amphitheater.

A new start date for leg four of the North American tour rescheduled from 5th September when the first show was called off due to strong winds causing safety concerns with the movable lighting rig.

The band last played Albuquerque on 19th September 2016 on the Summer Tour 2016.

The 13th show the band have played in Albuquerque and 7th time at this venue.

The first visit to Albuquerque took place in June 1980 at Tingley Coliseum as support to Judas Priest.

The next show was as support to Billy Squier in April 1983 on the Pyromania tour.

Two In the Round shows followed in February 1988 and December 1992 on the Hysteria and Adrenalize tours.

Another show at Tingley Coliseum took place in September 2000 on the Euphoria tour.

The first show at Isleta Amphitheater took place in June 2003 on the X/Ten tour as the Journal Pavilion.

Tingley Coliseum was played again in November 2005 on the Rock Of Ages tour.

Every show since has been played at Isleta Amphitheater under various names in 2006, 2009, 2011, 2015 and 2016.

The September 2012 show was played at the smaller 4,000 capacity Sandia Casino Amphitheater.

At last night's show there were no weather problems and the show proceeded almost as planned. Perhaps worried about show disruption again the front video screens which move up at the start of each show were not used. Therefore no video countdown to show time happened or displaying of the city name. See Fan Videos for footage of the adapted show intro.

Sav wore a 'Crossfire Eagles' shirt following the release of their debut EP. The band featuring his son Tyler on guitar/vocals.
