On This Day in Def Leppard History - 27th July, the following concerts and events took place. Including an appearance on UK TV show The Roxy 31 years ago on this day in 1987.

The band performed a playback version of 'Animal' on the show which was set to become their first UK Top 40 hit.

Also on this day in 2007 the band played a show in Cheyenne, WY during the Downstage Thrust tour.

There had been opposition to them playing at the Frontier Days event due to alleged cruelty to animals by Rodeo staff.

The 2018 North American tour continues later tonight in Fargo, ND with co-headliners Journey.
