DEF LEPPARD 2018 News Recap Part 8 (August)

Welcome to recap of all things Def Leppard in the year 2018 continuing with the month of August.

Another year for the band is about to end and these updates will look back at the major events that took place over the last 12 months.

2018 became one of the band's most successful touring years for decades with 83 shows played on the main world tour and 84 in total throughout the year.

The 2018 tour continued in North America with Journey and it was revealed they had grossed over 50 million dollars so far.

More stadium shows were played in Boston at Fenway Park and Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO.

Joe celebrated his 59th birthday and appeared at Fenway Park with Billy Joel the night before his own show with Def Leppard.

Vivian also celebrated his 56th birthday whilst on tour in St. Louis.

Joe released a promo video for This Is For You and a number of Hysteria anniversaries were remembered ahead of the playing of the full album later in the tour.

The band played another stadium show for 45,000 fans in St. Louis, MO which was last played in June 2017.

Vivian Campbell celebrated his 56th birthday whilst on tour in St. Louis, MO.

The band played a show in Columbus, OH which was last played in October 2015.

The band played a show in Birmingham, AL which was last played in August 2016.

Joe Elliott appeared on BBC Radio 2 to talk about his hero and friend Ian Hunter.

The Def Leppard and Journey North American tour hit Number One on the Pollstar Hot Rock Tours list.

Vivian Campbell revealed the band were currently recording a new song by Rick Savage. This turned out to be 'We All Need Christmas'.
