19 Years Ago DEF LEPPARD Enter The 21st Century In CHICAGO (Audio)

Def Leppard played a show in Chicago, IL on 31st December 1999 during the Euphoria tour and rare audio is available.

The show took place at the Allstate Arena.

The last show of the 20th century taking place on New Year's Eve.

The band had originally planned to play two shows on this day with the other taking place at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI but that idea was scrapped in favour of just one show.

A few extra surprises were in store for the audience as the band began the encore with the first ever playing on '21st Century Sha La La La Girl' from the current 'Euphoria' album.

The encore took place after the chimes of Big Ben were played to mark the start of the New Year and the New Millennium.

The first song played in 2000 was '21st Century Sha La La La Girl' for the only recorded time followed by 'Let It Go'.

After the Big Ben chimes were played over the PA lots of 'Def Leppard Dollars' were shot up into the crowd. Each member had their own dollar bill with a promo photo shown along with the words "The Bank of Euphoria, Sheffield, UK".

Enuff Z'Nuff opened the show with Dokken as special guests who replaced Motley Crue on the bill.
