Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome once again to the Joe Elliott show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. What do we have for you tonight?. Well, in my humble opinion, sixty minutes of fantastic music. So let's get the show started shall we. We're gonna get down and dirty and just a little bit slimy with the Sensational Alex Harvey Band."

Sensational Alex Harvey Band

"That is the Sensational Alex Harvey Band or SAHB as they are affectionately known. From their second studio album back in 1973. The album is Next. The song, Swampsnake."

Robert Plant

"Right brand new music from two different artists from kind of roughly the same area of the world. Starting off with this gentleman who likes to carry his fire. Ouch!. This is Robert Plant."

"And before that Robert Plant. Another fellow black countryman from his brand new solo album Carry Fire. The song, New World."

Black Country Communion

"Truly a Black Country Communion right there. That's the band from their new album BCC4. With The Last Song For My Resting Place."

Fats Domino

"Well sadly this week we've lost yet another one to the great gig in the sky. One so important he was once referred to by Elvis Presley as the man who invented rock 'n' roll. So let's say farewell and thanks for your service to the most wonderful Fats Domino."

"And before that a song that goes right back to my childhood because my father had all his seven inch singles and his ten inch wax 78s or whatever they were called. Fats Domino, the guy that really kicked off the whole rock 'n' roll music with his biggest and probably most well know song Blueberry Hill."

The Rolling Stones

"From The Vaults that is The Rolling Stones. Well, sort of from the vaults. It was actually only 2015. But it was the first time in their illustrious career that they have ever played an entire album live in one show. The album Sticky Fingers. So what an album to play. From the Fonda Theatre The Rolling Stones with Sway."

"You are listening to the Joe Elliott show on Planet Rock. It's time for a little break and when we come back, well, Elton John's gonna turn into a bit of a pyromaniac."

Elton John

"Before that Elton John from the brilliant album Tumbleweed Connection with the most wonderful song Burn Down The Mission."

Fairport Convention

"It sounds a bit like a pub quiz question really doesn't it?. What did Fairport Convention do when they went on their holidays?. Well the name of the album is What We Did On Our Holidays and it would appear that they would Meet On The Ledge."

Judas Priest

"Now one of the things I like most about doing this show is that I can go from a song like Fairport Convention to this. And it feels to me completely normal."

"And before that the first song I ever heard by Judas Priest. And from my favourite album of theirs Sad Wings Of Destiny. We heard The Ripper."

Alice Cooper

"Ah you can't beat a bit of Coop. And this new Coop is right up there with the old Coop. That is Alice from his brand new album Paranormal with Fireball."

Cheap Trick

"OK it's time to say bang, zoom, crazy and hello! to Cheap Trick."

"And before that we heard Cheap Trick from their 2015 album Bang, Zoom, Crazy... Hello with The Sun Never Sets." - (actually 2016)

Jo Jo Gunne

"Still sounds great all these years later. In fact it's pretty much the only I ever heard by that band. The only other interesting fact I knew is that Curly Smith the drummer ended up in Ian Hunter's Overnight Angels in 1977. But that is Jo Jo Gunne with their one and only UK hit single Run Run Run."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about it for this week. It's been a real pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at the same time all the way from sunny Dublin."

"Yes, I am going home back to Joe's Garage, Joe's GaraRge. Take your pick. Where I shall be prepping some new Lep releases. Some Down 'n' Outz stuff. And many other projects that we all collectively and individually are juggling all at once. We'll see how it turns out. I will fill you in over the oncoming weeks and months and let you know how we progress."

"Until then I think it's time for Jeff Lynne and the boys to give their collective fire place a damn good cleaning. Yes, from the album Face The Music this is E.L.O. with Poker. Until next week see ya!."
