RICK ALLEN Says DEF LEPPARD To Play 60 Plus Shows On 2018 Tour

Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen was interviewed by Atlanta TV on 11th November and talked about the 2018 world tour.

Rick spoke to host Christine Pullara of the Atlanta & Company show on 11Alive/NBC TV in Atlanta, GA.

He was speaking ahead of his two art exhibition events in the city which took place on the same day.

Rick talked about his art exhibitions, veterans charities, his art pieces, his accident and recovery, returning to drumming, meeting veterans, making music and sharing art with his daughter.

Rick says the 2018 tour will start in the 'summer' and include up to 60 shows.

Vivian revealed over the weekend that the tour will start in the USA in 'Spring' and then head to Australia, Japan and hit Europe and the UK in 'late' 2018.

"Yeah there was a period where I was like I think that's it. I don't think I can do this any more. But the support that I got from the guys in the band. The support I got from my family and then just support coming in from all over the globe. It was overwhelming and the turning point was when I found the strength of the human spirit. And it was like, you know what, I can do this. I can do this and I, you know, I managed to learn how to play with a set of foot pedals and the rest is history as they say."

Def Leppard South American/2018 Tour

"Yeah we just got back from South America. We were playing with Aerosmith down there and The Who. It was just, it was amazing. It was really cool. And then we're gonna be going out on tour for probably, I'd say, 60-odd shows starting in the summer (2018)."

"I'm working on a fair bit of music at home at the moment. But you know in reality when I'm off the road these days I love spending time with my family."
