Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen has revealed the bands plans for a new EP to be released in 2018.
Phil has been interviewed by Matt Wardlaw and spoke about the possibility of new music.
He says he hopes the band will release a new EP of music in 2018.
This follows on from recent news where he said the band have already started working on a new album but the full album would not be finished in time for the 2018 world tour.
The tour is set to start in Spring 2018 with Phil and Vivian both stating at least one new song would be released before it starts.
Phil previously said the band would only release an EP before the 2014 recording sessions began and they later turned into a full album.

New Music In 2018/Current Studio Album
Collen says the group is looking forward to more new music following the release of 2015’s Def Leppard. He hopes an EP of new songs will be available next year.
"We don’t want to push it. I think the one thing we learned from the album is that we’ve done it at our own speed. There was no label or anyone telling us what to do. There was no business agenda. It was pure artistic expression. A lot of the songs weren’t in the same context."
"Normally, those songs wouldn’t have been on the same album. We would have actually said, “Oh, this doesn’t work.” We just thought it changed the vibe. With this one, we just let it all naturally happen. I think that’s what we should do now."
