25 Years Ago Def Leppard's High 'n' Dry Certified 2x Platinum In USA

High 'n' Dry 1981.

Def Leppard's classic 1981 album High 'n' Dry was certified as 2x Platinum in the USA 25 years ago on this day in 1992.

The band's second studio had been released on 21st July 1981 in the USA.

The album peaked at Number 38 on the Billboard Top 200 and spent almost 16 months on the chart.

It stayed in the charts well into 1983 and was eventually reissued in May 1984 with two bonus remixes added.

Rick Allen spoke about the album in 1996.

The recording of 'High 'n' Dry' was the last time he'd play acoustic drums on an album until the 'Slang' album which was released in the same year as his quotes.
