Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott has been interviewed about the Hysteria album and talked of its meaning to the band and fans.

Joe recently spoke with Steve Baltin of Forbes for the 30th anniversary of the album.

Joe talks about Dublin, his thoughts n the Hysteria album after 30 years, important albums in his life, the making of the album, High 'n' Dry/Pyromania/Adrenalize and any advice he would give to other musicians.

Advice For Other Artists

"Some of the songs off the A list are mostly off Hysteria cause it’s an important statement by the band at this time and luckily for us it remains one. That’s the great thing about it, it’s not one of these records that sold really well, then fell off the planet. It stayed alive, the way Hotel California or Rumours or Zeppelin 4 did. It’s still, I wouldn’t say an active record, but actively part of our audiences’ life as much as ours. They buy the shirts for it, it’s the go to record for both of us."

Advice For Other Artists

"We’ve conquered a lot of negativity in our career to keep going, having watched some people, including our own, fall by the wayside. So advice, to me, is a minefield of a word. And it’s not something I readily throw out there because it doesn’t always work with whoever’s reading or listening to what I’ve got to say."

The 'Hysteria 30th Anniversary Edition' was released around the world on 4th August.
