Show Intro

"Evening all welcome once again to the Joe Elliott show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Sixty minutes of fantastic music for you tonight. Are you feeling normal?. Or are you feeling paranormal?. Brand new Alice Cooper."

Alice Cooper

"Produced by his long time collaborator Mr. Bob Ezrin who also produced the last couple of albums by Deep Purple. Big clue as to why then the guest musician on that particular song is Deep Purple's Roger Glover. That is the title track from Alice Cooper's brand new and brilliant album Paranormal."

Last In Line

"Right fresh from his European tour of clubs and festivals. This is Vivian Campbell, or more specifically this is Last In Line."

"And before that we heard Last In Line from their debut album Heavy Crown with I Am Revolution."

KISS

"Re-released about three years ago with brand new liner notes from yours truly actually. I was coached into doing it by Gene and Paul when Def Leppard and KISS toured together. That the title track from their 1977 album Love Gun is KISS."

Delta Deep

"Well, I've played a little bit of Vivian Campbell, I think it's only fair that I play some Phil Collen Delta Deep."

"And before that from the debut album of Delta Deep, Phil Collen's side project, we heard Bang The Lid."

Foreigner

"Recorded specifically for their Very Best And Beyond album that is Foreigner with Soul Doctor."

"You are listening to the Joe Elliott show on Planet Rock. It's time for a little break and when we come back, well amongst other things, we're gonna dance the night away with the Motors."

The Motors

"And before that from 1977 and no apologies for all the crackles 'cause it was recorded from my vinyl. We heard The Motors from the album of the same name with the Mutt Lange produced Dancing The Night Away."

Kansas

"I've always found that song fascinating and it's not a song that gets a great deal of airplay. Quite possibly because it's the second track on an album that begins with Carry On My Wayward Son. Arguably their biggest and most famous bit of work. The band are Kansas. The album Left Overture. The song we just heard is The Wall."

Cheap Trick

"Now here's a song by a band that once covered that Motors track and this is from their brand new album all these years later. This is Cheap Trick."

"And before that Cheap Trick from their brand new album We're All Alright! with a song called Nowhere."

Sex Pistols

"Sometimes you just can't beat a nice bit of patriotic rock and roll can you. That is the Sex Pistols with the almighty God Save The Queen."

Elton John

"Now here's a couple of songs that tackle the subject of the, how shall we call it?, the unconventional accommodation that us rock and rollers sometimes have to quote/unquote "put up with" on tour. Starting off with Elton John."

"Before that we heard Elton John from the album Madman Across The Water . Elton John no doubt staying in slightly better accommodation. The song the Holiday Inn."

Heavy Metal Kids

"If you're roundabout my age and you were lucky enough to see that band live as indeed I was. You will know that they were an absolute phenomenally great live act that sadly never really broke into the big time. So the chances are that when they were promoting their 1976 album Kitsch. The Heavy Metal Kids did indeed stay in the Squalliday Inn."

Show Outro

"And that my friends for this week is about it. Been a real pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at the same time."

"Until then I'm gonna leave ya in Bad Company. Or rather with Bad Company. From their third album Run With The Pack in 1976 this is Sweet Lil' Sister. Until next week see ya!."
