MLive - Phil Collen Interview Quotes

Tour Rehearsals/Live From Detroit DVD

"We don't and you know what's really great. We just put this live DVD out and literally I've been rehearsing to that you know. I put it on, I play along to it and sing along to it everyday. So there you go. That really cuts the time down for actually rehearsing. What we do need to rehearse, because we always have new stuff coming in. We have like new lights and screens and you know stuff that's gonna be happening on the tour. It's constantly being updated so we will be rehearsing that. So I actually leave on Tuesday I think to go out and rehearse in Boston just before we kick off the tour."

2017 North American Tour/Tesla Album/Poison

"Absolutely yeah. I'm just finishing. I've just finished actually, the new Tesla album. I've been producing it. So we've been actually working on tour. We've actually been like recording in dressing rooms and stuff like that for the last year because they've been out on tour since then. We literally just finished it off. A couple of tweaks here and there and we're gonna mix and it's phenomenal. It sounds amazing. I'm so blown away with it and everyone else is freaking out. So we're loving that."

"And Poison, they haven't been out on tour since the last time they were with us in 2012. So there's three bands and it's pretty much the original members with obviously the odd change here and there. Poison's the same four guys. It's the same five guys out of Tesla, except for one person. And obviously with Def Leppard it's the same band that brought you Pyromania and Hysteria except for obviously Vivian who replaced Steve. So yeah the integrity factor to the whole tour and the three bands that are out there. That's really cool and you don't really see that much any more these days."

Live From Detroit DVD Show

"Oh it was great and you know the reason we chose it was it was the first date to sell out. So that was a no brainer. It was like if you're that enthusiastic about seeing us then we'll be enthusiastic about recording it there. You know what I mean?. So that's really how that came about. And it was fantastic. It was amazing."
