Def Leppard played a 2016 Summer Tour show last night in Billings, MT with 17 songs performed.
The show took place at the 12,000 capacity MetraPark Rimrock Auto Arena.
The first show of the third leg of the 2016 summer tour.
The band's first time in Billings since 31st August 2005 on the Rock Of Ages tour.
The fifth show the band have played in Billings with all shows being played at this venue (previously just known as MetraPark Arena).
The first visit to Billings took place in July 1988 with Tesla in support.
An In The Round show played on the Hysteria tour and one of the last few played with Tesla ending their almost year long stint as openers.
A second In The Round show here took place in September 1992 on the Adrenalize tour. A rare photo from that show was posted online in October 2015 and was reposted by the venue the day before last night's show.
They returned after a seven year gap in August 1999 on the Euphoria tour. A show which had another Tesla connection in support act Moon Dog Mane who were Frank Hannon's band after Tesla briefly spilt up in 1998 to 2000.
Brian Wheat's band at the same time, SoulMotor, also supported Def Leppard on the Euphoria tour.
Six years later the next appearance in Billings would happen in August 2005 on the first Rock Of Ages tour with Ricky Warwick in support. One of the shows played in between tour legs with Bryan Adams.
The setlist was unchanged with the now familiar 17 songs played including all three 'Def Leppard' album tracks.
Phil joined Tesla again for 'Save That Goodness' during their opening set. Debbi Blackwell-Cook was not present though.
The curved microphone stand being used by Phil at the last three or four shows actually comes from REO Speedwagon. Also used when he plays with Tesla (see Media Photos and the Fan Galleries from the last few shows).
