Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen has been interviewed by St. Paul/Minneapolis radio and mentioned the next album plans.

Phil talked about playing in the area, the current live show, Delta Deep, working with Tesla, Manraze album plans, the Classic Rock Awards in Japan, the Detroit Def Leppard DVD, future plans for new Def Leppard songs and his role as a producer for Tesla.

Phil says the band will start working on new songs for the next album after the current tour ends on 10th October in between working with Tesla on their next studio album (due early 2017).

Vivian spoke of plans to record another album in 2017 during an interview in April 2016. He has since stated he will also be touring in the USA next year with Last In Line. He will also be working with his other band the Riverdogs.

Phil has also mentioned plans for Def Leppard to tour Canada in 2017 and play a few dates in the USA (without being specific).

Voice Of Alexandria/Michael Right - Phil Collen Interview Quotes

New Def Leppard DVD In 2017

That come out great. That'll be out probably next year. You know we're kind of getting that together. But yeah it's just non stop. And it's really cool you know. I gotta say it's inspiring to just be working all the time, doing stuff you live. It's great."

Def Leppard Future Plans/New Songs/Another album?

"Yeah just new songs. We're not gonna push it. I think one of the great things about the self-titled that we released last year was we had no pressure. We didn't put any pressure on ourselves. There was no record company or executive or anyone saying well you guys have gotta do an album. So it came out the way it did because we naturally let it. And I think that that's probably how we're gonna do the next one as well."

"I've got some ideas already for some songs. A bunch of them actually for Def Leppard. I'm sure everyone else has. So it's just a matter of whenever we get five minutes and the time to say hey check this out. Then we'll start recording."

"You know Ronan McHugh who actually records and produces with us, with Def Leppard. He's our out front sound guy. So he's with us all the time. He also mixed the Tesla song Save That Goodness. So it's all in family and we just keep working together and like I said you know inspiration begats inspiration. It's kind of, it's infectious and especially if you're all on that kind of page. It's kind of a wonderful thing. So we're loving it."
