Def Leppard played a Hysteria warm-up tour show in Waterford, Ireland on 11th August 1986 and a rare show poster has been sent in.

Clive has submitted a photo of the poster from the show which was Rick Allen's first full show on his own during this comeback tour.

Earlier this year marked 30 years since this show took place and Rick's big comeback show at Donington Park a few days later.

For many reasons this show will be remembered as the first time the full band played a whole shows together as a five piece since February 1984.

Read a 30th anniversary special about this show.

Clive was the drummer of opening band Tasc who supported the band at a tiny venue called Katie Reilly's Kitchen.

The band's own 1986 newsletter mistakenly listed the venue as The Bridge Hotel. This was actually the hotel the band stayed at just up the rad from the small venue.

Clive reports that the band members have no photos from their historic appearance as a friend had set their camera to the wrong speed and ended up with lots of obscured shots (much to their annoyance).

He also says the band happily hung out with them, drank beer with them and were great to deal with.

Joe had sent the band a hand written letter with all of the gig details on beforehand.

Tasc spilt up in 1988.

Waterford Show Story - From Animal Instinct

"At a meeting the next morning, Peter and the five Leppards decided that Rick would play the next show in Waterford completely by himself. The stage at the club wasn't big enough for two drum kits anyway. Jeff took the news very well. He was suffering from exhaustion, the result of doing shifts with Leppard and Quo; unbeknown to Leppard, he'd collapsed on stage in Stockholm after playing four shows in three days. He agreed to hang around for the Waterford show in case Rick had any serious problems."

"Rick didn't have any. At the end of the show, Jeff - who watched the entire set from the sound desk - told the band backstage "He's great. You don't need me." When Def Leppard pulled in to Dublin for the last show of the Irish tour, Jeff Rich was already back in London."
