Arroe Collins - Phil Collen Interview Quotes

Producing The Next Tesla Album/New Song

"Yeah I think they wanna expand. I think it's very easy to just be - just to flat line and do the same thing over and over again. I think you need to be inspired and I think they are. I think they're such an amazing band. You know they're a wonderful live band. They're great players and I think you know just giving them - I got very inspired you know when I was around Mutt Lange. He was just an amazing person to be around like not just musically but everything else. And it just opened my mind up and creative juices to do other stuff and I think hopefully that's what I can do with these guys."

"We've spent a lot of time together. Last year we toured a lot and just even going up to Sacramento. We've already started the album. We've got - we finished one track for their new album that's coming out this year. A live album. We've done a bonus track for that. And we've already started this other stuff and it's just. You know just trying to get that inspiration going and the songwriting and just going a bit deeper with that. You know again I only just draw from what I learnt from Mutt Lange. He would say OK. This is OK but we wanna be great. I mean you'd have to work a little bit harder. Song writing and lyrics and hooks and just things in general and then the performance part. That's a given and you have to raise that bar as well. So I find that whole process really stimulating and inspiring and I know that the guys do because we've been doing it already."

"As soon as you start doing that and bringing different ideas in. Everyone starts thriving and going 'whoah check this out, I've got this new idea for a song'. And it's like whoah where did that come from. So yeah we're in this really, really good creative space right now collectively and I'm just loving being part of that process."

"Everyone has something to bring to the table and it's not just oh what shall we do collectively. It's what have we got on your own and then you bring it to the table and then everyone starts working. It's a win, win, win. If you want it to be."
