Mike Calta/102.5 The Bone - Vivian Campbell Interview Quotes

His Current Health

"It's the least of my concerns to be honest you know. I'm glad to say that it's - I'm one step ahead of all of that. It's all good yeah."

"Well that's what keeps me going you know. I couldn't think of much worse than being home. You know that's not an option for me. Gotta keep going. Keep spinning the wheels."

Most boring DL song to play live? Hysteria?

"A ballad. No actually I really, really like Hysteria. Hysteria's a great song. I do like that one."

"Yeah but you know we still try. It's the audience that makes it for us. A lot of people always ask that question like you know you play the same songs year after year and you know these certain big hits that you're kind of beholden to. That you have to play but it's always the audience. The excitement of the audience translates. That's what makes it exciting for us."

Last In Line Touring

"We were actually supposed to be on tour right now. Like I said we'd put this off so that we could actually do a tour and then when Jimmy passed away, out of respect to Jimmy, we cancelled it. We didn't feel it was right. So - however having said that. We do believe in the record as Jimmy did and there's a couple of festival shows. One in Europe in late April and the Rocklahoma thing at the end of May. So we'll do those two festival dates and those are the only things we have on our agenda. I don't know whose gonna play bass for those shows yet. We haven't even gotten to thinking about that but that's where we're at. So we'll see what happens with this in the long term."

"I'm going back out with Def Leppard in the summer. So we'll have many months of shows in North America for that. So long term I don't know what's gonna happen with Last In Line. It really depends how this record's received."
