Music Aficiando - Phil Collen Interviews Quotes
Def Leppard - Stagefright
"The first solo I ever recorded with the band. I went into the studio and Mutt Lange said, “Here’s a cassette. Learn the song and come into tomorrow and we’ll see what you’ve got.” It was one take—the first and only one-take on the album. Because the whole thing took nine or ten months! So it’s kind of special to me. It was like a cross between Al Di Meola and Michael Schenker."
Tesla
"I love these guys. I’m producing their new album, which will be coming out the end of this year. I went up to Sacramento the other day and we did some recording. And we’re on tour together so we’ll do things backstage. It’s great stuff."
