On This Day in Def Leppard History - 19th July, the following concerts and events took place. Including a show in Middletown, NJ on this day in 1996 when the band were joined on stage by Joe's hero Ian Hunter.

Ian sang lead vocals on a cover of Mott The Hoople classic 'All The Young Dudes'. His first appearance on stage with Def Leppard. The performance was recorded and later released by Ian on his 'Once Bitten Twice Shy' compilation album in May 2000.

Also on this day in 1980 the band played its first stadium show at the World Series Of Rock event in Cleveland, OH.

The show coming just two years after their first ever show in July 1978 in Sheffield.

The event was headlined by Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band with an audience of almost 49,000 fans in attendance.
