Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen has been interviewed by the New Jersey press ahead of his artwork exhibition in Short Hills.
Rick spoke to both New Jersey Online and North Jersey ahead of today's event.
Rick talked about his artwork, inspiration, his daughter, his current exhibit, Def Leppard, being a vegetarian and working with wounded veterans.
Rick is visiting The Mall at Shorts Hills, NJ later today for another art exhibition event.

Art Inspiration
"My passion was rekindled when I was inspired by my youngest daughter. She sat down to do an art project with no fear. She was in the moment and going with it. She was not trying to make everything perfect. It was art. Let it be what it wants to be."
"I started painting when I was young, before I started playing the drums,” Allen said. It was while watching his 6 year-old daughter paint that his own interest was revived.
"She was staying in the moment,” he said, “and it reminded me of where I go when I’m playing music. It’s just coming from the heart."
