Slacker Morning Show/101 The Fox - Phil Collen Interview Quotes

The Live In Detroit DVD Footage

"What was really cool. I mean we actually just recorded one of the shows just a few weeks ago. We was live in Detroit and we're putting a DVD out. And you know I don't usually get a chance to see the show. You know unless I'm like turning around and catching a little look here and there."

"But we had to approve all the images and the sound and everything. The mix and it looked amazing. The show's amazing. So that's another thing we still have coming out. I'm not sure of the exact date of it at the moment. But Def Leppard Live In Detroit should be a DVD coming out at some point. And it looks spectacular."

The Current Def Leppard Album

"Yeah I think you know really we call it Def Leppard, because it represents us totally. You know there was no business agenda. No record company executive. We actually went in to record a single and we got so excited about all - the flow of ideas. That within a week we had pretty much 12 solid ideas you know that we'd actually already started. We obviously recorded 14 songs and put them all on the record."

"Yeah we actually couldn't stop. It was something very different from what we'd ever done before because it was coming from a pure place. You know there was no, no one telling us we had to do anything. And we just wanted to do it so it was for the love of music which is why you get in a band in the first place. So that was really exciting and hence the self titled album 'cause it was you know all about us this one."
