Def Leppard 2016 Summer Tour Countdown - 3 Days To Go

Def Leppard 2016.

Def Leppard will start their 2016 tour of the USA and Canada in Pensacola, FL in 3 days on 2nd May.

The first show takes place on Monday 2nd May in Pensacola, FL and was announced on 11th March after the main tour announcement.

The venue is the 10,000 capacity Pensacola Bay Center which was last played in April 2003.

It was then known as the Pensacola Civic Center. The 2003 show was the first for ten years after the very first visit in February 1993. An In The Round show on the Adrenalize tour.

Styx will be the only support act for this show.

A 56th show for the summer was announced on 21st March in Tampa, FL for 15th August.

The main US summer tour was announced on 29th February and starts on 22nd June in Mansfield/Boston, MA.

The May shows will mark Joe's return to singing after his recovery from a haemorrhaged vocal cord which resulted in the postponements.

"I just got a really, really bad cough, couldn't clear it up, and I was warned having seen a couple of throat doctors that I needed to take four to six weeks off. So it's about now that I start giving it a shout again. But other than that everything else is fine you know. It's just - it just needed a rest."

(On vocal injury) - "Mine came through coughing. It was nothing - I got sick over Christmas and New Year and it destroyed me. Hopefully everything's gonna be all back to normal now."
