Def Leppard 2015
Def Leppard will release their highly anticipated new self titled studio album on 30th October and there are 36 days to go.
The band revealed the final running order for the album on Instagram on 14th September.
The first single/radio track Let's Go was then premiered online a day later and released digitally on 16th September.
The album recording started in February 2014 when the band thought they might record one or two songs for a possible online release.
They ended up with 12 in that first session and decided to make a full album. This countdown tells the story of the album over the 2014/2015 recording period as told by the band in various interviews.

"We brought the band into the studio and jammed; the whole band playing and writing together. We hadn't done that in a long time.
"I had the two guitars going through the ADL 700s, and the boys [guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell] really loved how it sounded. They were asking 'what is this?' So when we started laying down tracks, they both said not to change a thing."

"But then we had this brainstorm towards the end of last year (2013). To get together at my place over in Dublin, Ireland and start writing some new material. And we thought well if we get together for February and see how it turns out, because we're notoriously slow towards the writing, we might have two or three things on the go. We came out of there with like 12 songs in various different stages of finish. You know some of them are finished and some of them are tunes with la la la over the top of them."

"So we've actually basically started an album. Truth is two of the songs we could actually release tomorrow. We won't but we could. And the others are in various different stages of undress if you like. You know some of them have got la la la melodies over the top of them and with some of them we haven't even got that far. But they're musically all - there's a cohesiveness there which is great. So we're gonna get back together in May, carry on with it. Maybe write more or just finish the ones that need more work."
