The Columbia Dispatch - Phil Collen Interview Quotes

2015 World Tour

"Busy, actually. It’s been such an amazing tour. I think the band, for whatever reason, is having an Indian summer. Since Labor Day, we’ve sold out every show."

"There’s an enthusiasm we’re seeing in the audience — lots and lots of young kids, (and) not just curious; they know these songs. We’re able to play that stuff better than we could back in the day. And we’re getting a better response."

"We played Lithuania earlier this year. It was all screaming 17-year-olds. We’re trying to analyze this: What is going on here?"

Adrenalized Book

"I hate a lot of memoirs; they’re so egotistical. But you do remember stuff when you’ve been sober for 29 years. I had a different perspective. The book has an edge to it — not the sex and drugs and rock ’n’ roll. While Motley Crue were getting up to all that fun stuff, we were actually in the studio, getting in debt from our record company, making the best music we could."
