The show paired rock artists Def Leppard with then country/pop singer Taylor Swift. The first time they had worked together.

The episode was shown in early November but taped on this day in Nashville, TN.

Also on this day in 1979 the band played a show in Norwich, England during the Early Years tours.

This was the band's first ever appearance in the city and one of a handful of shows played as the support for Slade. A band who had influenced them during the early 70s UK Glam Rock scene.
