Def Leppard played a small acoustic show in Sheffield, England 20 years ago today on 5th October 1995 and photos are available.

The band returned to the venue for the first time since playing a couple of early shows there in 1979.

They were originally paid 15 pounds by the owner Olga Marshall. She was still the owner in 1995 and jokingly offered Joe another 15 pounds during the gig.

Most of the show was captured on film and used in the VHS release 'Video Archive'.

This was the final event of the Def Leppard Day celebrations organised by the local council after a fan led campaign to honour the band.

Event Details - The Wapentake Acoustic Concert

A nine song acoustic concert filmed for the 'Video Archive' VHS. Two new songs from 'Slang' were played for the first time - 'All I Want Is Everything' and 'Where Does Love Go When It Dies'.

Olga Marshall originally booked the band in 1979 and paid them 15 pounds. During the show Joe namechecked her and she jokingly tried to present him with another 15 pounds payment. He politely refused and instead kissed her on the cheek.
