Def Leppard played show 86 of the 2015 World Tour earlier today in Osaka, Japan with 19 songs performed.
The show took place at the Orix Theater.
The band's first time in Osaka since 5th November 2011 during the Mirrorball tour.
The 11th appearance by the band in this city.
The first time at this venue which is actually not a new venue but a renamed one.
It was formerly called the Kosei Nenkin Kaikan or Festival Hall. The show was sold out with 2,400 fans in attendance.
The band played the venue under that name in 1984, 1988 (x2), 1999 (x2) and 2002.
Therefore this was the 7th show here overall since that first show in January 1984. The first time in Osaka on the Pyromania tour.
Phil Collen had played in Japan (including shows in Tokyo and Osaka) in December 1980 with Girl. The first visit by any member of Def Leppard to the country.
'Let's Go' opened the show once again following the intro from the studio version.
'Dangerous' was not played as had been hoped by local fans after it was "reportedly" rehearsed in Tokyo at during the soundcheck.
'Promises' returned to the set in place of 'Paper Sun' with no other changes to the set. 'Undefeated' was played for the second time on this tour.
'Undefeated' is being started with part of the intro from the studio version played as Joe counts in using 1 to 4 in Japanese - ichi, ni, san, shi.
Due to the smaller venue there was no large video screen used behind the band and the two side video screens were also not used.
They were on stage but only the lights on top of them were used. Real guitar amps were set up in front of them for Phil and Vivian to use.
Also due to the limitations of the venue there was no Thrust stage. Rick's drum riser (as with Tokyo) was also different than the European one with no see through 'grill' between the steps.
