Monday, 1st June 2015

Def Leppard 2015.

Def Leppard and promoters UDO have just announced a four date tour of Japan for November.

As mentioned a few hours ago dates in Tokyo and Osaka had been talked about online by local fans over the weekend.

Four shows have now been confirmed in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Sendai. The first shows in the country since 2011.

The band will return to Sendai for the first time since November 2002 on the X/Ten tour. Nagoya was last played in October 2008 on the Songs From The Sparkle Lounge tour.

The last visit to Japan was in November 2011 when they played two shows in Tokyo and one in Osaka. They were the longest shows of the Mirrorball tour with 22 songs played each night.

The Tokyo show marks a return to the famous Nippon Budokan venue not played since 2008 when they did two nights there with Whitesnake.

This now takes the 2015 tour to a total of 101 announced shows with 21 already played. The highest number of shows played in a year since 2003 when 133 were played.

This is also the first time they have played over 100 shows since that same year. The highest since being 84 in 2005 and 81 in 2006.
