The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome to part two of the Joe Elliott theatrical rock and roll extravaganza right here on Planet Rock. If you were tuned in last week you may remember you heard the likes of Muse, Queen, Utopia, Meatloaf, The Damned, The New York Dolls, The Tubes and music from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. To name but a few. Tonight we carry on in the same way with this crazy mad theatrical stuff. Starting off with a band from New York who happen to like to paint their faces, Yes, of course it's KISS."

Show Outro

"Well although he never played anywhere bigger than the Bottom Line in New York City, he was extremely theatrical as an artist. That is Jobriath from his debut album with a track called Space Clown and before that from the album Slade In Flame, there's your big clue. It was indeed Slade and some of that film was actually shot in Sheffield, with the hit single How Does It Feel."

"And that my friends is about it for this extravaganza theatrical style over the last couple of weeks. It's been an absolute blast doing this. We'll be back to normal again next week at the same time. Until then I'm gonna leave you with this though. What do you get if you take a hard loving, hard drinking Glaswegian guy. He takes a band that are going nowhere. Turns the guitarist into a clown and they decide to cover a Tom Jones class. Yes, it's the Sensational Alex Harvey Band and their version, un-ironically I believe, of Delilah. Until next week see ya!."
