The KiddChris Show - Vivian Campbell Interview Quotes

His Health

"I'm feeling splendidly well thank you."

Whitesnake

"Yeah actually we've done a bunch of shows with them in Europe. We toured with Whitesnake, when was it, probably 2008 or 2009. David Coverdale and Joe Elliott are great friends and all the guys in the band - we all kind of know each other."

Joining The Band/Guitar Style

"I did my homework you know for a month or two before I actually played with the band for the first time. And it's like layers of an onion you kind of break it down to two different cohesive guitar parts. But we're not very often playing the same thing."

Whitesnake Hysteria Tour Story

"We're very frequently accused of miming. Which we take as a backhanded compliment. You know because we don't. So what you're hearing is a hundred percent live. Funny you mention Whitesnake. When I was with Whitesnake in 1987 we happened to be in Detroit. Def Leppard were playing, obviously with Steve Clark. We the people in Whitesnake went to see Def Leppard and we actually thought they were miming. So we were all bitching about them back at the hotel after the gig - 'they can't do it live, they've got tapes running' you know."
