The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome. This is the Joe Elliott show because you are listening to Planet Rock. As you should always and welcome everyone to Birmingham. No, that's not Birmingham, England but Birmingham, Alabama where we are about to do the fourth show of this mammoth US tour and the great news is, after a slight blip with his medical situation and missing the first three shows. Should his plane touch down on time, which it will. Vivian Campbell rejoins the group tonight. Big thanks to our good friend Steve Brown for manfully stepping in for the first three shows because as we all know folks the show must go on and nobody knows that better than this lot. This is Queen."

Stranglers/Holiday Story

"The first holiday I ever went on without my parents was to Skegness and there was about six or seven of us and I will never forget the fact that we actually got thrown out of a discotheque for po going to that particular little number. That particular little number is from an album these days a bonus track on Rattus Norvegicus. It was a stand-alone single back in '77 for The Stranglers. The song Go Buddy Go."

Show Outro

And that my friends is about it for this week from Birmingham, Alabama, been a pleasure as always. I'm gonna finish because I must be feeling a little nostalgic tonight or a bit teary eyed just because Vivian's coming back. Who knows. I'm gonna play you a track from the first ever album I ever bought back in 1971. The album is called Every Picture Tells A Story. The artist Rod Stewart and this is his version. Fantastic Motown classic I Know I'm Losing You. Until next week, which will be the 4th Of July so what a party that will be over here from Boston, MA. This is Joe Elliott saying see ya!."
