Def Leppard attended a concert by U2 last night in Boston, MA at the TD Garden on their Innocence + Experience tour.

The show was night one of four shows in the city which Lep have been staying in and "hubbing" from to four of their own shows in the past seven days.

As always the show was broadcast online by U2 fans (and listened to by me as I had a feeling at least Joe might attend...) but Bono did not make any mention of the band's attendance during the show.

UPDATE - Bono did sing a very short snippet of PSSOM during the show at the end of song #2 'The Electric Co.'. This was not heard clearly on fan brodcasts on the night and only noticed by U2 fans in the last day or two.

Joe and Vivian both confirmed the band's attendance and Joe was pictured with a fan - see first tweet below.

U2 have included one Def Leppard song at their shows before. When they played Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield on the 2009 leg of the 360 tour Bono sang part of PSSOM during 'Vertigo'. The band had left a gift for U2 at the show as U2 also does whenever Def Leppard play in Dublin.

The last (known) U2 attendance of a Lep show was 2009 in Dublin when Larry Mullen Jnr. and his son watched most of the gig from behind Rick Allen's drum kit.

View various photos of the stage below. The band are playing with a type of In The Round staging that covers the entire arena floor and features a video screen hanging in the middle of the venue. Similar to screens used by Nine Inch Nails in recent years.

Def Leppard continue their own 2015 tour tonight in Bethel, NY at a venue close to the original site of the 1969 Woodstock festival.

Vivian Campbell - 11th July facebook Quote

"We also managed to get in a day at the beach, visit the aquarium, see the July 4th fireworks from a boat on the Charles River and catch a U2 show at Boston Garden. Many thanks to the U2 band and crew for their gracious hospitality last night. The show is a game-changer in terms of it's production; spectacular and very, very highly recommended."

"...and go and see U2 last night, which was incredible."
