Def Leppard performed a playback version of Love Bites on Dutch TV in 1988 and video footage is available.
The performance dates from late November 1988 on Dutch music show 'Countdown'. Just before or after the band filmed the 'Rocket' video in Amsterdam. They were back in Holland starting work on what would become 'Adrenalize'.
'Love Bites' entered the Dutch singles chart at 88 on 10th December 1988 and reached a peak of 23 on 21st January 1989. This was one of a number of playback appearances that took place after the Hysteria tour between November 1988 and February 1989 promoting both the 'Love Bites' and 'Rocket' singles.
