The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Good evening everybody and welcome to the first Joe Elliott show of 2015 on the mighty Planet Rock. Tonight is an overview of my best of 2014. There's some new stuff, there's some live stuff, there's some interpretations of old stuff. There's a bit of everything over the next 60 minutes. Starting off with this from Led Zeppelin."

U2

"There was a lot of controversy when this album was released because it was basically spammed into everybody's inbox if you had an iTunes account. Was that a good idea or a bad idea? That's for a discussion further down the road. But that's from an album called Songs Of Innocence by U2. A song called Raised By Wolves."

Show Outro

"Letting their hair down like they probably never would again. That is Queen live from the Rainbow back in 1974 with an amazing version of Modern Times Rock 'N' Roll. And before that from his new album or his latest album I should say, World On Fire we heard Slash featuring Myles Kennedy with Withered Delilah."

"Which just about wraps up this overview of the year 2014. I happen to think it was a great year for new music. When you think about what I haven't had the chance to play tonight. The likes of new Foo Fighters. There's a been a lot of great releases which just goes to prove that Rock is not dead. We have lost a few warriors this year. The likes of Jack Bruce, Ian McKlagan, Bobby Keys and more recently Sheffield's very own Joe Cocker. But their music will live on and it will live on on Planet Rock. And I shall be back with you on Planet Rock next week at the same time. Until then I'm gonna wish you all a very happy 2015 and leave you with some Def Leppard from 2014. From the album The Art Of McCartney. This is our version of the classic Wings track Helen Wheels. Until the same time next week see ya!."
