The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Wow I can't believe it's been a week since we were together folks. Time really does fly. Good evening and welcome to the Joe Elliott show right here on the mighty Planet Rock. Sixty minutes of wonderful music coming up for ya. All sorts of different types of stuff tonight from some bands that never made it out of the Town Halls. Some bands that never made it past the City Halls. Some bands that regularly play stadiums. And this bunch of Riff Raff that have played everything from the smallest club to the largest football stadium. This is AC/DC."

AC/DC

"From what is - I've said many times on the show - my favourite AC/DC album of all time Powerage. That is AC/DC with Riff Raff."

The Next Band - (Mentioned but not played)

"Now here's a band that were born in Grantham but were made in Sheffield. This is The Next Band."

KISS

"When Def Leppard toured with KISS in the summer of 2014. That is the song that they chose to open their set with and it went down an absolute storm. That is the title track from the album Psycho Circus."

Show Outro

"Part of the New Wave from New York there The Ramones. Certainly not theatrical. Not in the way that Queen were and a song called Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment. And before that Queen from the album A Night At The Opera we heard Death On Two Legs."

"Which brings tonight's proceedings to an end folks been a pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at the same time. Until then let's keep the New Wave rolling shall we. This is a band from London called London. Everyone's A Winner. Until next week see ya!."
