Eddie Trunk Live - Vivian Campbell Interview Quotes

2015 Tour

"The whole 2015 tour is rolling into a 2016 tour because of the new Leppard album. But you know it's been about 4 years since we were down at this end of the world in Australia. And we just came here from Japan. We did four great shows there. So it's going really, really well."

New Def Leppard Album

"You know I'm happy to day it's really been well received everywhere so it seems. You know it's a very classic .sounding Def Leppard record. It's multifaceted. There's a lot of different styles on it. You know from the rock side to the produced side. To some areas and genres we haven't really gone to before. But it's very Def Leppard sounding you know which is why I guess we ultimately just copped out and called it Def Leppard, because even though it goes to all these different styles it's still all sounds like Def Leppard because of the collective vocal thing more than anything you know."

"And it's been really, really well received. So we're now currently playing two new songs in the live Leppard show. We're playing the song Let's Go which was the first single and we're playing a song called Dangerous and yeah, it's all good."

Wings Of An Angel Origin

"Well I knew it would be because that's more of a rock track. That's one of my favourites. You know and that was a collaboration. That was one of the first ones of the early ones that we wrote. When we went into the studio and we were playing live in the studio you know. Just kicking around ideas and such. It's a lot easier to write band rock songs when you're doing that. You know when you're actually - you're standing in a room with your band mates and you have your instrument on. You know it's - as opposed to talking about it. So yeah that was one that was cobbled together from a bunch of different ideas. It was an idea that Sav and Phil had married to an idea - a riff idea that I had and a melody idea that Joe brought in. And so it was - it's a very Def Leppard rock song."
