Def Leppard played show 47 of the 2015 World Tour last night in Sturgis, SD with 17 songs performed.

The show took place at the Buffalo Chip Campgrounds during the 75th Sturgis Rally.

The band's first time in Sturgis since 8th August 2011 during the Mirroball tour.

Their third time at this event overall after the first visit in August 1999 on the Euphoria tour.

The Thrust stage was used along with the three main video screens. The festival's own smaller lighting rig was used as was the case at other recent outdoor festival shows.

The band appear to be staying in nearby Rapid City. A group of fans posted a photo of Rick in the city a few hours before the show. As mentioned recently by Joe the band often stay in one city and travel out to multiple shows from there. Referred to by them as "hubbing". Tonight's show is also in South Dakota with the band travelling to Sioux Falls to meet up again with regular support bands Styx and Tesla.

'Promises' was played in a unchanged setlist from the last show in Paso Robles, CA. 'Let It Go' was also played in its regular song #3 slot.

The band were on stage from 10:30pm until 12am.

The crowd were not the only ones enjoying the show with many bikers reving up their engines between songs to show their appreciation. Listen to some of this below during the intro to 'Armageddon It'.

Up to 10 people had died in various motorcycle accidents during the festival according to local press. The live concerts are just a small part of this event so these were not in any way linked to the show and therefore not mentioned or referenced by the band on stage.

Skid Row were second on the bill with Sweet Cyanide opening. Styx played the festival the day before with Tesla not appearing at this event.

Skid Row were special guests at six shows in the November 2003 X/Ten European tour. Five shows in Germany and one in Switzerland.

Their set included hits 'Youth Gone Wild' and 'I Remember You'. Only three original members remain in the line up who played in 2003 - Rachel Bolan, Dave 'Snake' Sabo and Scotti Hll. The band now includes drummer Rob Hammersmith and singer Tony Harnell who posted a stage photo you can see below.

Joe Elliott - Vivian Campbell Intro

(after motorcycle engine roar) - "Oh yeah. Makes me wanna do Steppenwolf. But - I won't!. Can I introduce you to somebody who comes all the way from Northern Ireland. He puts the fast in Belfast. Make a lot of noise please for a very happy and healthy Vivian Campbell."

Joe Elliott - End Of Show Speech Part One

"Sturgis. Once again thanks for coming. Thanks for having us. Thanks for being here. See you again one day. Take care. Good night."
