Def Leppard On Spotify
Def Leppard's 2004 greatest hits album Best Of Def Leppard has been added to Spotify in the UK.
The streaming service recently added the album which contains 34 studio tracks.
The album joins the already added releases 'Slang (Deluxe Edition) + Commentary', 'VIVA! Hysteria', 'Mirrorball' and the recent digital singles/re-recorded versions.
Enjoy the album while you can - embedded below and playable if you have Spotify installed.
Also shown below is an archive news update from 2010. Spotify had added five studio albums at that time which were soon taken down within the next four weeks.
Nine studios albums were also added (and removed) just after this from UK digital download site we7. It was later revealed to have been due to the band's ongoing dispute with Universal Records over their digital catalogue.
10th September 2010 - Archive News Update
Five Def Leppard albums have now been added to the Spotify free music service. The following studio albums are now available to stream:
'On Through The Night', 'High 'n' Dry' (12 track), 'Pyromania', 'Hysteria', 'YEAH!' - 59 tracks in all.
Spotify is a free legal music service that features over 8 million tracks. Currently it is only available in the UK, Sweden, Spain, Norway, Finland, France and Holland. You get a Windows Media type player with all the tracks available to play instantly as shown above. You can also save your own playlists.
Previously only 'Songs From The Sparkle Lounge' (UK Version) was available but it was removed a couple of months back. This could be a step towards Def Leppard's music being on iTunes but at present there are no purchase links for Lep tracks on Spotify.
