Vancouver Sun - Phil Collen Interview Quotes

2015 Studio Album

"Within a month we had 12 songs. Literally, the very last day as we were about to leave I told Joe (Elliott, Def Leppard's singer), 'I've got this idea.' And he said, 'I've got this chorus.' And we wrote a song in 10 minutes. It shocked me, the fact that we had the flow. What was going to be an EP ended up being a whole album."

Vivian's Health

"After we learned he got the upper hand on his cancer, it was such a relief," guitarist Phil Collen said in a phone interview. "It also made you stop worrying about stuff so much. It just made it seem very trivial. We should've known that when Rick had his accident."
