The venue is located in the city of Clarkston which is 42 miles North West of Detroit and within the Pine Knob Ski Resort.

It was opened in June 1972 as Pine Knob Music Theatre.

Since 2001 it has been known as DTE Energy Music Theatre.

Tesla's 45 minute opening set was streamed live online by Yahoo! Live from 6:55 to 7:40pm.

'Let It Go' was back in the set with 'Promises' left out.
