Def Leppard will cover 'Helen Wheels' from the 1973 Wings album 'Band On The Run' and Joe will do a solo cover of another Wings track 'Hi Hi Hi' from 1972.

Joe has played many Paul McCartney/Wings songs on his weekly Planet Rock radio show. Other artists invloved include past Lep tour mates KISS, Heart, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick and Sammy Hagar.

Joe met Paul for the first time at his 12th June 2010 show in Dublin. He mentioned the meeting on his second Planet Rock show - see below.

Both Joe and Phil wished Paul a Happy 70th birthday in June 2012 as part of a short video tribute. In September 2009 Joe sang guest vocals during 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds' and 'All You Need Is Love' with Cheap Trick at their Las Vegas "Sgt. Pepper Live" show.

Joe Elliott - June 2010 Quote

"I was very fortunate a few weeks ago in Dublin at the RDS to meet Paul McCartney for the very first time. Yes, folks I finally met my first Beatle. Before that the only contact I'd ever had with a Beatle was at a Joe Walsh gig when Ringo Starr stood on my foot."
