Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell will undergo Stem Cell Surgery in the next few weeks according to Joe who was speaking to 94 Rock radio.
Joe had told Planet Rock last Friday that the treatment had begun the same day.
Joe talked about the Down 'n' Outz, their history, the third album of original material, and update on Vivian's Health, the NFL performance and the next studio album.
Vivian made a statement on his treatment on 24th September and informed fans he will not be playing at the forthcoming shows.
Filling in for him for the remaining 2014 appearances is Steve Brown who played with the band in London on Sunday.

"Well right at this moment in time he's having treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma which hopefully - he's in remission which is great news. But he's having Stem Cell Surgery within the next few weeks. So what they're doing at the moment is harvesting the cells, carpet bombing him with chemo he's - he's not in the most enjoyable place he's ever been in his life. But you know the whole point of this is to get him well for next year because now that we've finished the tour with KISS and last night we were the pre game entertainment for the game at - the NFL game in London between the Miami Dolphins and the Oakland Raiders."

"Listen the atmosphere was absolutely electric. It was fantastic. Sold out in what three minutes. 85,000 tickets, Crazy you know it was fantastic to be there. It doesn't matter - I hear the Oakland Raiders fired their coach this morning but the atmosphere and just being there. The weather was great. It was in London. They closed down the entire Regent Street the day before for a block party. I mean they really took it to town with this thing it wasn't just another game it was an enormous event. And that was great to be involved with you know."

"But Vivian didn't do that with us because we gave him - you know he's off for the rest of the year we've got a record on the go. Half finished a new Def Leppard album which will hopefully be ready by Spring of next year. But he's done all his bits on it already. So he's having the Stem Cell Surgery. He's gonna be in hospital for - probably up till Christmas. And hopefully he'll come out the other side completely clear and we can go back to work."
