Lewis And Floorwax - Joe Elliott Interview Quotes

Summer Tour 2014

"We're gonna let KISS close the show because it's their 40th anniversary and we like to go to bed early."

"Both bands are playing for the same amount of time. They've both got full production so you know you can't both go on at the same time. It wasn't one of those ego things where we've got to close the show it's like no look it's their 40th. It's not really anything this is our 36th it doesn't really have the same ring you know. So we were more than happy to go on first."

DJ's - "Nobody's got a bigger ego than Gene Simmons."

"Well you know he gets a bad rap but he's actually a nice guy. If you actually get to know him. You know he just works the angle. He just pushes it and pushes it. I will say this much for him. He's honest. He says 'I started this because I wanted to be rich'. I mean he's put his cards on the table. You can't say he's being greedy that's what he set out to do so."

"Some bands would rather close. It makes no difference to me because we've both got full production. It's kind of like a festival if you like but there's only two bands on. It's all about the fact that we're going on and we're gonna be playing the same songs that everybody knows. And whether we go on after KISS or before KISS it doesn't really make any difference to what we're gonna be doing. Which is going on there and playing our songs to a ton of people that hopefully wanna hear them. So I always think in terms of one and one making three when it comes to gigs like this because it's really just a win win situation especially for the audience."

2015 Studio Album

"That starts towards the end of June. We're currently - WE being Def Leppard are currently in the studio writing new songs and recording new songs. Something to look forward to for next year."
