Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott has been interviewed by MyGlobalMind and gave a new update on Vivian Campbell's health.
Joe talked about the Down 'n' Outz, Mott The Hoople, the 2015 studio album, future Lep tour plans and football.
He also gave a very positive update on Vivian's health situation and insisted he would be able to tour this summer. This follows a week of speculative 'media' reports based on an interview from last month.

MyGlobalMind - Joe Elliott Interview Quotes
Vivian Campbell's Health
"He is continuing that's what Vivian is right now. He is doing all right, he is in remission, it's not gone altogether. He is working on that and he is in great spirits. Last time I spoke to him he was giggling and joking and having a good time. I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago and he was in great form. I have been chatting in emails to him. He is looking forward to these dates and doing them. So it is not actually hindering him and his ability to perform. He is still having ongoing treatment. It is just positive thoughts from here on in really."
2015 Studio Album
"What we are really doing is trying not to sound like anything, just writing songs that we feel are good songs and not anchor them to some past glory. Its much more important that the songs are good and it doesn't really matter if they have any reference to our back catalog or not. It is a rock and roll record for sure."
