The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Whatcha, Guten Tag. Good evening. Hi. Well welcome yes it's a very eclectic and eccentric show tonight so I thought I'd give it a bit of an eclectic and eccentric intro, You are listening to Planet Rock and this is the Joe Elliott show . Evening everybody and welcome to 60 minutes of very wacky music. Gonna get this weeks show started with a rip roarer. This is the Cybernauts."

Delta Rayz/Trevor Bolder

"I mentioned earlier about the significance of the song from an album So Free the song is called Dark Days and the band are called Delta Rayz and they've been put together by one Mr. Woody Woodmansey. Better known as the drummer for David Bowie from '70 to '73 through the whole Spiders From Mars period. The significance of that song is that it's the last ever performance by the late great Trevor Bolder. Woody invited him down to guest on the album and played on two or three songs but that was the last thing that they ever did and it was the last thing that Trevor ever played on. And what a way to go out with your soul mate from all those years ago the rhythm section from The Spiders From Mars. The last thing that Trevor ever did was play on that particular song. And what you heard before then was the Band Of Friends which is essentially the Rory Gallagher band from an EP called Too Much Is Not Enough a song that they actually wrote themselves called I Don't Cry."

Show Outro

"And that about does it for this week my friends I shall be back with you next week at the same time with more wacky tracks no doubt. Until then I'm gonna leave you with this great song from Elton John from the album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Did he write this about fellow Planet Rock DJ the coop?. I doubt it. This is All The Girls Love Alice. Until next week see ya!."
