Nick Van Cleve - Phil Collen Interview Quote

2015 Studio Album

"Yeah. We got so much stuff. We actually went in and we thought we'd get one or two songs and we got 12 started. Since then we've got 15 on the go and pretty much done. Most of the backing tracks are done. You know we've got some backing vocals to do. Joe's mainly got those to do and stuff there's the odd guitar solo. It's the quickest we've ever worked. We have such a great flow going so that'll be ready and out next year. So when we get off the road here we'll go back in and start doing that."

Vivian's Health/Motivating Force For The Band?

"I think so you know. When Viv said he'd went to the doctors and they said that cough you've had for a year it's cancer. This was around the time we done the Vegas residency last year. It kind of rallied the troops and we just got on with it and there's been a definite different vibe. I mean it's the best we've ever - the best recordings we've ever done was the VIVA! Hysteria stuff and I think we've continued from that. He's doing really good you know he's been having chemotherapy and different stuff on the way but - and it's been really hard for him. He really should've been taking a break but he's persevered, he went on it and he's doing great. His strength's coming back and he's just gotta have some more tests to see how it's all going so yeah fingers crossed on that. But he's doing remarkably well because a few weeks ago he could barely stand up straight so yeah he's doing really good so fingers crossed."

Second Las Vegas Residency

"At some point yeah we keep getting asked to go back but it's just a matter of fitting it in. Obviously we can't do that this year because the tour kind of goes - they did ask for November but you know we've got stuff stretching all the way up to their plus we've gotta finish off the record. So there's a few windows here and there so yeah we'd love to I'm just not sure when it's gonna be."
