The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome to Charlotte, NC where the Def Leppard/KISS juggernaut just rolls on and on. Since we were last together in Austin, TX we have been to Dallas where it was 114 degrees on stage. Can you believe that, absolutely unbelievable. Cincinnati, OH. A sold out show in Nashville, TN and also a massive show in Atlanta and tonight it is Charlotte, NC. Welcome everybody to the Joe Elliott show right here on Planet Rock. It's a global show and this is the Rock and Roll show and this is a Rock and Roll song. This is the Pink Fairies."

Show Outro

"It would be easy to think that Queen, who we just heard there, rose to the challenge of the boys next door when they were sharing a studio complex with the Sex Pistols and Roger Taylor thinking 'Hey I could do that'. But the truth is it's actually a demo from the album Sheer Heart Attack back in 1974 that was only half finished. So no doubt maybe the Pistols did inspire him to at least finish the song. From the album News of The World that is Queen there with Sheer Heart Attack."

"And that brings us very nicely to the end of this show which came to you all the way from Charlotte in North Carolina this week. I shall be back with you next week at the same time from Bon Jovi territory - I shall be in New Jersey. Until then I'm gonna leave you with this classic Rod Stewart song from the first album that I ever bought Every Picture Tells A Story. It cost me two pounds and eleven pence and was worth every penny. This is Rod's version of the old Temptations classic (I Know) I'm Losing You. Until next week see ya!."
